I used to be totally loyal to Philips, but now I own a Cosori too, and I really love it! It’s a great machine at a great price. Get all the details in my Cosori Air Fryer Review below.
The Cosori Air Fryer is one of the largest models on the market, making it family friendly and good for crowd size cooking. It’s also a huge bestseller that has earned a superior average rating from thousands and thousands of online reviews.
Perhaps most impressive is that you get a huge 5.8 quart cooking capacity for an extremely low price – under $125 (and even less if you catch it on sale). That’s an amazing value for an air fryer of this size.
If there is a drawback, it’s that the company is fairly new, so the product has not existed long enough to establish a track record for durability over time. I own one of these models, and so far it’s holding up well with frequent use. I’ve always been a huge Philips fan, but there is a lot to love about this Cosori model. Read on for all the details.
Cosori air fryers are now available in a full range of sizes:

Air fryers are fairly simple appliances because there is no need for complicated functionality. As you can see from the list above, the Cosori includes all the features you need for convenience and ease of use.
I never use presets, but if you’re a fan then you’ll be delighted with the choices here. Cosori gives you 11 preset modes for chicken, steak, shrimp, seafood, bacon, frozen foods, French fries, vegetables, root vegetables, desserts, and bread.
The 5.8 quart size is one of the largest on the market. The basket is square, which makes it roomier than round baskets. According to the manufacturer, this Cosori will hold a whole chicken up to 5 to 6 pounds. This is definitely a great choice for families who need to cook in larger quantities.
The warranty is listed as 1 year, but you can extend that at no extra cost. If you go to the Cosori website and register your air fryer within 14 days of purchase, your warranty will be extended to 2 years. Just remember that you only have 14 days to register.
Size & Capacity
Exterior Dimensions: 11.8″ x 11.8″ x 12.6″*
Basket Dimensions: 9″ x 9″ x 3.75″*
Weight: 15.97 pounds
Cooking Capacity: 5.8 quarts
* These dimensions are listed on Amazon. According to my measurements the height is correct, but in width and depth it’s actually a tad smaller than that.
What’s Included with the Cosori Air Fryer?
Cosori does not include any accessories with this model, but they do give you a rather nice looking cookbook. It has color photos and and includes recipes for every meal. You can preview it online here: Cosori Air Fryer Recipes.
You should also receive a User Manual with basic operating instructions.
Optional Accessories
Cosori Air Fryer Accessories XL – These accessories were designed to fit several Cosori models, including the 5.3Qt and 5.8Qt air fryers. By design, the pans may be a tight fit for the 5.3Qt air fryer, but not for the 5.8Qt model. This is not a huge drawback. It just means you aren’t able to take full advantage of the space in a 5.8Qt model.
Unfortunately, no dimensions are provided for any of the pieces in this set.
Another option, and perhaps a better value, is this accessory set from Simple Living Products:
It has fewer pieces but is also a good bit cheaper than the brand name set. I bought this myself, and the pieces are a good fit for the Cosori basket. Click here to see it on Amazon.
(Back to Top)Customer Reviews
To address the negative first, online reviews contain a good many reports of units that did not work on arrival, or that stopped working during the first year.
The other most common complaint is that in the middle of cooking the unit will shut down suddenly and eject the basket. A few even claim that the basket ejects with enough force to slide across the counter.
No matter the complaint, in every case I found, the manufacturer had responded in writing to the review with a request that the owner contact them about the problem. If you read through the negative reviews, you’ll see these responses from the manufacturer everywhere. It’s clear that the company is actively monitoring online feedback and encouraging customers to contact them for problem resolution.
It’s worth noting that as usual, many people are furious that Amazon won’t issue a refund or replacement after 30 days. These people trash Amazon when the real problem is buyer ignorance. Amazon makes it very clear that you have only 30 days to return a purchase. After that, if you have any kind of problem with your appliance, your warranty is with the manufacturer. Contact information will be in the instruction booklet that comes with the air fryer. If you threw that away, it’s real easy to find the manufacturer’s website – just do a search on the web for “Cosori”.
The above complaints are certainly serious concerns, and you’ll find quite a lot of reports of both issues. However, when you look at percentages, the vast majority of owners are extremely satisfied with their purchases. Out of more than 19,000 online customer ratings, over 90% of owners give this Cosori air fryer 4 or 5 stars, and mostly 5.
These owners praise the Cosori for being easy to use and to clean, for cooking evenly, and in general for doing an excellent job on all types of foods from basic French fries to all types of meats to breads and desserts. They love the huge basket that gives them ample room to cook family meals, and overall they consider this extra large air fryer an exceptional value for the price.
From personal experience I have to agree with those positive comments. To me the percentage of owners who love the Cosori is very convincing, but only you can decide whether the negative reviews are enough be be a deal breaker for you.

Cosori Air Fryer Review Summary
More and more people are discovering all the many benefits of air fryers. Besides making tasty “fried” food without all the grease, they work for cooking all types of meats, side dishes, breads, breakfast foods and even desserts. They’re easy to use, they cook fast without heating up the kitchen, and they do a fabulous job of reheating leftovers and takeout foods. Once you own one, you’ll find it handy for so many things you’ll wonder how you lived without it.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Philips because I own several models that have been used extensively for years and are still running strong. Unfortunately, the big drawback with Philips is the high price.
One of the most attractive aspects of the Cosori Air Fryer is that it offers you the largest capacity on the market at a price that beats all the competition hands down. It’s a bestseller that has earned thousands of very positive customer reviews with top ratings.
One possible drawback is that we don’t know yet how well this model will hold up over the long term because it’s still too new. However, as noted above my own Cosori is over 2 years old now and after much regular use is still working great.
Also worth considering are complaints about malfunction that ejects the basket during cooking, and units that were dead on arrival or stopped working during the first year. The percentage of these reports is small, but the complaints are certainly serious. The good news is that the manufacturer does seem to be engaged with the public, as evidenced by the way they monitor and respond to online reviews.
My personal experience with this model has been all positive. If you want extra large capacity and Philips is too rich for your budget, this Cosori Air Fryer is definitely worth considering.
